The number of people killed after armed rebels belonging to the ISIS-linked Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) attacked a secondary school in western Uganda increased to 41, CNN reported, citing local authorities, Ednews reports.
The victims were primarily students and only two were members of the local community. According to military spokesman Felix Kulayigye, the attackers, numbering around 20, targeted the school on Friday evening.
Uganda's military is actively pursuing the rebels and its security forces have urged the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious individuals to assist in apprehending the perpetrators.
