Major stock markets in the United States ended Tuesday's session with significant gains as investors welcomed the latest data, which signaled the economy remains resilient despite recession fears.
The Dow Jones added 0.63% or 212 points at the closing bell, with Intel Corp. jumping 2.28%. The Nasdaq 100 surged 1.75% or 256 points, led by tech giants Tesla, AMD, Apple, Amazon and Nvidia. The S&P 500 rose by 1.15%, as Delta Air Lines rose 6.84% after lifting its profit forecast.
The euro increased by 0.52% against the dollar to sell for 1.09626 at 3:59 pm ET.
