French Ministry of Interior shared on Saturday in an updated statement that the number of people arrested during the riots has gone up to 994 persons, while 79 members of the police and gendarmerie have been injured.
Nonetheless, the ministry noted that last night's clashes were "of a lower intensity in comparison with the night before."
Protests in the country broke out earlier this week after a police officer fatally shot a 17-year-old delivery driver.
