First secretary of Ukraine's Embassy to Georgia, Alexander Shulga was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Georgia, the country's MFA said, Ednews reports.
According to the Ministry, summoning a Ukrainian delegate is connected with imposing sanctions on the "Georgian Airways" company.
Note that Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, signed a decree associated with imposing sanctions on the “Georgian Airways” company, the National Aircraft Carrier of Georgia, on July 1. And also, Kyiv imposed sanctions on Tamaz Gaiashvili, the owner of the company. Sanctions include the freezing of assets, the suspension of commercial operations and flights and transit through the territory of Ukraine, the suspension of economic and financial obligations, and the cancellation of licenses and other permits.
