Latvian Foreign Ministry told Delfi News on Monday that following discussions on the current security situation and after consulting with neighboring countries, Latvia decided to partially resume accepting visa applications from Russians, Ednews reports citing Teletrader.
The ministry explained that does eligible are "family members of citizens and non-citizens of Latvia, [including] spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, and dependents, family members of citizens of the countries of the European Union, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, as well as persons whose entry is associated with humanitarian considerations."
Earlier, the country closed its borders to Russians after the Wagner Group rebellion broke out.
