The Black Sea Grain Initiative, which is set to expire on Monnday, has still not been extended, TASS reported citing sources from United Nations.
However, one of the sources remained hopeful the deal on the extension could still come before the agreement expires. "We are waiting for Moscow's position, everything is possible," the person stated.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin insisted Moscow will only agree to prolong the deal "when the promises given to us are fulfilled." Meanwhile, the European Union claimed Russia "has a responsibility to prolong" the UN inititative signed by Moscow and Kiev in July 2022.
