The heads of China and France, Xi Jinping and Emmanuel Macron, advocate the creation of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders. They call for decisive implementation of the two-state plan, China Central Television said, citing the joint statement of China and France on the situation in the Middle East, Ednews informs.
“(China and France call) to ensure the peaceful coexistence of Israel and Palestine as neighboring states, to create a viable, independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital,” CCTV said citing the joint statement.
As part of his European tour (May 5-10), Chinese President Xi Jinping is visiting France, Serbia and Hungary. On Monday, the Chinese leader held talks with Macron.
