South Korea's Defense Ministry warned Pyongyang on Friday against a nuclear attack on Seoul or its allies, claiming their response to such a move would cause the "end of the North Korean regime."
"In the event of any North Korean nuclear attack against the South Korea-US alliance, it will face an immediate, overwhelming and decisive response from the alliance, and [we[ strongly warn again that through this, [the attack[ will result in the end of the North Korean regime," the ministry claimed.
The comments come after Pyongyang slammed the United States and South Korea after an American nuclear missile submarine made a port call in Busan and insisted that its doctrine would allow it to use nuclear weapons if it determines "a nuclear attack on the country has been undertaken or is imminent."
