Russian President Vladimir Putin told Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko on Sunday that Ukraine's counteroffensive has failed.
Despite Ukraine's efforts, it has only made small gains against entrenched Russian forces, who currently control over a sixth of its territory after nearly 17 months of the conflict, Putin stated.
Putin went on to express satisfaction with the development of relations between Moscow and Minsk, stating that their plans for cooperation are being implemented even faster than expected.
