The people of Kyrgyzstan have no reason to worry about the state of emergency in the energy sector, which will be declared on August 1, 2023, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said in an interview with Kabar Agency, Ednews informs.
According to the head of state, the country has been importing electricity for many years and in fact, lives in a state of emergency.
“Let's get through the winter. There are agreements with other countries and we take into account the performance of the TPP. People have no reason to worry. We must not succumb to provocative opinions that we will face difficulties in winter because of the state of emergency. There are groups of people who are waiting for the authorities to make mistakes, wishing for a crisis, looking for the negative. But our population is literate and correctly perceives the work being done,” he noted.
In order to improve the situation in this area, the construction of a number of mini-hydroelectric power stations will be completed by 2026, and measures will be taken to increase the power of electricity throughout the country.
Japarov noted that the state of emergency will be in effect until December 31, 2026.
