Russia's Federal Service of Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS) said on Saturday that Russia and South Africa will cooperate on "promising projects" in the field of joint development and production of weapons and military equipment, according to RIA Novosti.
The projects were discussed during the Russia-Africa summit on July 27 and 28 in St. Petersburg. The FSVTS said the bilateral partnership will result in the manufacture of weapons for both countries, as well as for third parties. The agency did not share details of the projects.
