SpaceX launched the world's largest commercial communications satellite, Hughes Communications' Jupiter 3. The mission launched the Falcon Heavy rocket from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida after a previous attempt on Wednesday was aborted.
This was SpaceX's 51st mission this year and the seventh launch of the company's triple-booster rocket. Jupiter 3 will support technology such as in-flight Wi-Fi, maritime connections, and enterprise networks, and provide satellite internet connectivity across North and South America, Hughes said.
