Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said on Friday that despite sanctions and "hybrid war" against Moscow, the country's economy remains strong.
"Russia remains the fifth largest economy in terms of purchasing power parity," Medvedev wrote in a Telegram post, citing official data from the World Bank.
According to the latest reading, Russia's gross domestic product in terms of purchasing power parity surpassed $5 trillion for the first time in 2022.
