The Georgian Embassy in Azerbaijan has lowered the national flag in connection with mourning, Ednews reports that the embassy told this.
Note that today is mourning day in Georgia in connection with the landslide that occurred on August 3 near the Shovi resort area in the Oni municipality of Georgia. Flags have been lowered in all state and government and administrative buildings throughout the country, and entertainment programs were canceled.
The mourning day will continue till 00:00 on August 8.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has extended his condolences to Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili due to the tragedy.
Recall that the bodies of 18 persons who died as a result of the tragedy were found, and the search for 20 people is underway. 14 of the dead have been identified, including Samira Isayeva, an 18-year-old ethnic Azerbaijani from Rustavi, as well as a Russian citizen.
