Saudi Arabia announced on Saturday that it appointed Nayef al-Sudairi as its non-resident ambassador for the Palestinian Territories. He will also serve as consul general in Jerusalem, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said.
Al-Sudairi said the appointment is an "important step" and that it represents the desire to "strengthen relations with the brothers of the State of Palestine and give it a formal boost in all areas" expressed by King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
