Moldova denounced the Agreement on the Establishment of the Joint Consultative Commission on Disarmament Issues of 1992, calling the agreement non-functional for the republic, Ednews reports.
This decision was made at a government meeting, which was broadcast by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
As the Minister of Defense of Moldova Anatolie Nosatîi explained, the country did not implement the provisions of the agreement, since in 1994 the parliament of the republic decided to exclude interaction in the military-political field within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), explaining this by contradictions in the principles of sovereignty and independence of the republic.
