Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov remarked at Tuesday's press conference that Russian President Vladimir Putin never discusses the sanctions the country has been facing due to its operation in Ukraine with any of the leaders of the nations that imposed them.
Peskov's comments came in response to the Bild publishing the transcript of a conversation between German Chancellro Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron during which the two of them allegedly expressed their surprise at Putin not discussing sanctions with them in their separate telephone calls.
"Let the French and Germans ... discuss this publication. For my part, I can only confirm that indeed President Putin never touched on the topic of sanctions in his contacts with the leaders," Peskov told reporters.
