Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev claimed on Thursday that Russia needs to be attentive to biological threats.
Speaking at a meeting of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Science and Education, Medvedev said the Pentagon has "created dozens of laboratories and specialized biological centers around" Russia. However, he added that those facilities don't have a "purely scientific character."
"We need to treat such external threats as carefully as possible and ensure the technological readiness of our country to counter the spread of any new infections," Medvedev stated.
