French Minister of Digitalization and Telecommunications Jean-Noel Barrot announced that the sale of iPhone 12 model phones in the country is banned until further notice Ednews reports citing zdf.de.
In a statement on the X social media platform, Barrot stated that the sale of the iPhone 12,13 model phone in France has been suspended until the US technology giant Apple brings an update.
Minister Barrot warned all companies from the National Frequency Agency (ANFR) to comply with the said ban. According to the announcement made by ANFR, which controls the amount of electromagnetic waves emitted by electronic devices to people, the use of 141 phone models was also banned.
While in Europe, the average amount of radiation when the phone is held in a pocket or hand is required to be 4W/kg, ANFR revealed that this amount is 5.74 W/kg in the iPhone 12.13 model phone.
