Swedish defense equipment maker Saab announced on Monday the expansion of its 2019 Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) framework agreement with the United States Department of Defense (DoD). This extension allows the US to place further orders for Saab's close combat solutions for up to $422 million.
Saab already received a new order worth $104.9 million for delivery from 2024 to 2026. This includes systems such as AT4CS RS and advanced ammunition like HE 448 high explosive rounds.
"We are proud that our combat solutions are making a difference for our customers. The expansion of the framework agreement further strengthens our position as a trusted US partner and ensures the armed forces can use AT4CS RS and Carl-Gustaf for years to come," Gorgen Johansson, head of Saab's business area Dynamics said.
