An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 struck the northeast of Taiwan, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said on Monday.
The quake's epicenter was registered 180 kilometers away from the city of Hirara, located in Okinawa. The earthquake hit at a depth of 183.5 kilometers.
No damage or casualties have been reported so far.
