Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said on Tuesday that Tehran is against the division of the world into East and West.
Speaking before the United Nations General Assembly, Raisi claimed that the security of the world is threatened by "certain powers" that wish to form blocs on a global scale and attempt to incite issues in other countries. Those nations ironically hide behind "defending democracy" while their actions lead to coups, occupations and wars, according to the Iranian president.
Tehran's policy is integration and it "welcomes any hand extended in friendship," he pointed out.
