Anton Rubtsov, the Director of the Oil and Gas Department at the Russian Ministry of Energy, disclosed on Friday that the officals are actively developing strategies, including adjustments to duties and taxes, aimed at stabilizing domestic fuel prices.
"We are waiting for decisions, they have not yet been finally adopted by the government," he said.
On September 21, Moscow decided to introduce a temporary ban on the export of gasoline and diesel fuel in the effort to stabilize the domestic market. Sources informed RIA Novosti last week that Russia is contemplating a potential raise in the export tariff on petroleum products to $250 per ton.
