Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev on Sunday warned Western countries against getting actively involved in hostilities in Ukraine as it is pushing Russia closer to a third world war.
Medvedev expressed his concerns, pointing out the increasing number of what he called "leading idiots" in NATO countries who are advocating actions that could escalate tensions further. He specifically mentioned the idea proposed by the head of the German Defense Committee, Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, to supply Taurus missiles to Ukraine, potentially allowing the Ukrainian regime to target Russian territory. Medvedev cautioned that such actions could lead to retaliatory strikes on the factories producing these missiles.
