New Zealand Conservative Christopher Luxon (pictured left) won the general election on Saturday.
He is set to take over from incumbent Prime Minister and Labour Party leader, Chris Hipkins, who conceded amid a substantial surge in support for the center-right National Party.
Hipkins had assumed the role of Labour leader nine months ago after then-Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern (pictured right) unexpectedly resigned.
