Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry told CNN that the Rafah crossing is open, however, the roads are "inoperable" on the side of Gaza.
"The Rafah crossing officially is open on the Egyptian side, it has been open all along," the foreign minister insisted. He went on to say that foreign nationals shouldn't have issues with getting through.
"If all of the procedures have been duly taken and they have verified their documents on the Gaza side to cross, we will provide them all of the facilities in cooperation with their embassies to get them to a departure point," Shoukry explained.
