An earthquake of a magnitude of 6.4 struck the western part of Afghanistan, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) data showed on Sunday.
The quake struck at a 10-kilometer depth in the Herat province. This was the third large tremor in the country in the past nine days.
No casualties have been reported so far.
