"Eisenhower Fellowships build bridges of understanding across borders and cultures and work together to better our world."
Ednews reports that Heidi Thomas Kuhn, the founder and CEO of Roots of Peace NGO shared this on her Facebook page:
"This week, I was honored to be invited as Heidi Kuhn, CEO and Founder, of Roots of Peace by my lifelong mentor/friend, Skip Rhodes, to be a Speaker at this prestigious 70th World Forum to deliver remarks about the important mission of Roots of Peace turning MINES TO VINES worldwide.
H. Kuhn also noted that on Jan. 17, 1961, President Dwight Eisenhower gave the nation a dire warning about what he described as a threat to democratic government. He called it the military-industrial complex, a formidable union of defense contractors and the armed forces.
"Eisenhower, a retired five-star Army general, the man who led the allies on D-Day, made the remarks in his farewell speech from the White House.
The 70th World Forum honored Melinda French Gates and her philanthropic contributions to humanity. Christine Todd Whitman and other world leaders attended this inspirational conference."
