Downing Street confirmed on Wednesday that United Kingdom Prime Minister will visit Israel on Thursday, where he will meet the country's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog.
Number 10 noted in a statement that Sunak will also visit "a number of other regional capitals" during the trip to the Middle East. Ahead of the trip, the UK prime minister stated that "too many lives have been lost following Hamas' horrific act of terror" and that the world needs to "come together to avoid further dangerous escalation of conflict."
Sunak's visit to Israel will come a day after United States President Joe Biden traveled to the country.
