PJSC Gazprom Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Alexey Miller told Rossiya 1 on Sunday that the company will increase the volume of its gas supplies for Hungary during the forthcoming heating season.
Miller explained that Gazprom already raised the supply it provides Hungary with, which went up to 1.3 billion cubic meters this year. Moreover, the CEO said the company will send an additional 600 million cubic meters of gas to China throughout the rest of 2023.
The news came days after Russian President Vladimir Putin and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's meeting, which led to an extraordinary meeting of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the group expressing its concern about the relations between the two countries.
