The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said on Tuesday that it received eight more trucks full of humanitarian aid supplies after the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip opened over the weekend. The organization confirmed in a post on X that five trucks of water, two with food and one with medicine entered Gaza to assist civilians.
Earlier, UNICEF Representative in Egypt Jeremy Hopkins stressed that the number of convoys with supplies that are arriving is insufficient in comparison to the amount of help needed. "We need to have instead of 20 trucks a day at least 100, 200 trucks going in per day ... That is a necessary condition for us to be able to respond to the humanitarian lifesaving requirements and needs right now."
Also, PRCS reported that an airstrike allegedly by Israel "caused injuries and extensive damage near" its facilities and Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Younis, where over 4,000 displaced people were sheltered.
