United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will reportedly talk on Thursday to reassure citizens and companies about the possible risks of artificial intelligence spreading over the industry.
According to a report by Financial Times, Sunak will promise citizens to "keep [them] safe" some days ahead of the first global AI Safety Summit at Bletchley Park on November 1 and 2, where academics and executives from companies such as Google, DeepMind, Microsoft, OpenAI and Anthropic will attend.
Sunak's speech will coincide with the release of some of the papers guiding the summit, which predict "AI systems are deemed technically safe … but they are nevertheless causing adverse impacts like increased unemployment and poverty."
