United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the "expansion of Israel's military operation against Hamas," Downing Street revealed on Sunday.
The two leaders shared their concerns about "the risk of escalation in the wider region" and spoke about the need for humanitarian aid to reach the Gaza Strip and about getting foreign nationals out of the area.
Sunak and Macron are said to have agreed that a two-state solution is important for the region long-term.
