United States National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby stated on Tuesday that there is still no evidence that proves that Hamas is taking any resources from the humanitarian aid that is crossing the Rafah Border from Egypt to Gaza, Ednews reports via CNN.
Talking about the supply of fuel that hospitals and water pumps need in Gaza and are still not receiving, Kirby stressed that there is "no indication, none, that Hamas has gotten their hands on any of the humanitarian assistance" and that the supplies delivered so far have gone from the United Nations trucks to humanitarian organizations. For this reason, he noted the US is still addressing the Israeli "legitimate concern" of allowing fuel as part of the packages sent to the zone, at the same time as dealing with "the legitimate need of the innocent civilians in Gaza."
Kirby said that another 66 trucks passed the border today with food, water and medicine, "the highest single-day delivery so far."
