Russia's paramilitary group, Wagner, might send air defense systems to militant group Hezbollah, Ednews reports citing The Wall Street Journal.
The weapon in question is a so-called SA-22, which relies on antiaircraft missiles and air defense guns. According to the US officials, a delivery has not yet been made, but the talks between the two on the topic are a source of concern.
Wagner's fighters have been positioned in Syria, where Hezbollah's staff has also been present. Previously, Washington sent two carrier strike groups to the Eastern Mediterranean to deter any other country from joining the Israel-Hamas clashes.
