North Korea said on Sunday that the strategic partnership between the United States, Japan and South Korea is at a "very dangerous stage" that could lead to a "nuclear war or World War III," Ednews reports citing that South Korea's Yonhap reported, citing North Korea's largest state-owned newspaper Rodong Sinmun.
"We have established the strongest response strategy by arming ourselves with nuclear weapons to protect our sovereignty and the wellbeing of our people from the war of aggression by the US and its followers," the newspaper claimed. The strategy is "self-defensive," Rodong Sinmun stressed and aims to "protect peace and stability of the region."
