This year a chain of international events are being held in Azerbaijan within the framework of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. 2nd Meteorological Forum of Turkic World is one of those events, Ednews reports.
The Forum is being held within the framework of the preparation of the the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) for Climate Change in Azerbaijan, organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, with the support of United Nations Development Programme. Ministers of environment and climate change of Turkic countries, heads of hydrometeorological services, representatives of government organizations and experts take part in the forum.
The aim of the forum is conducting coordinated activities in the field of climate change, expanding the exchange of experience on the establishment of an early warning system for extreme weather conditions.
Note that the 1st Meteorological Forum of the Turkic World took place in Ankara city of Türkiye on February 19 2021.
