Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that the government's new plan for mobilization will be revealed next week.
Speaking at a press conference alongside visiting Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics, Zelensky stressed that there are many challenges to the entire process, especially the legislative changes that would be necessary.
Earlier this week, Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Director Sergey Naryshkin claimed, citing the agency's findings, that Kiev is taking that step at the orders of the United States and the United Kingdom, which want Ukraine to cut the lower age limit for conscription to 17 and raise the upper limit to 70 for men and carry out additional mobilization of women to make up for "huge losses" in its "failed counteroffensive" against Russian forces.
