British Foreign Secretary David Cameron stated on Tuesday that the United Kingdom will continue to fulfill its role as "a steadfast supporter of Ukraine and a champion for European peace and stability."
Speaking to reporters ahead of the upcoming North Atlantic Treaty Organization's (NATO) meeting in Brussels, Cameron reaffirmed London's commitment to the alliance. He stressed that "[t]ogether, the UK and our NATO allies will never turn a blind eye to Russian aggression."
Commenting further on Moscow's military operation in Ukraine, Cameron noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin "first believed that NATO would be divided and that Ukraine would crumble. Now, he believes he can wait out his war in Ukraine. He was wrong then, and he is wrong now."
