The United States supposedly condemned Pyongyang's recent back-to-back ballistic missile launches, Yonhap News Agency reported, citing a State Department spokesperson.
These launches consisted of the firing of a short-range ballistic missile as reported earlier, followed by the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) on Sunday.
"The United States condemns the DPRK's December 17 ballistic missile launches," the spokesperson reportedly said, calling the launches "a threat" to North Korea's neighbors. He is also said to have stressed America's "ironclad" commitment to the safety of Japan and South Korea, as reported by the news agency.
