Former United States President Donald Trump's presidential campaign pledged to appeal the Colorado Supreme Court's decision barring Trump from the state's 2024 presidential primary ballot.
"Unsurprisingly, the all-Democrat appointed Colorado Supreme Court has ruled against President Trump, supporting a Soros-funded, left-wing group’s scheme to interfere in an election on behalf of Crooked Joe Biden by removing President Trump's name from the ballot and eliminating the rights of Colorado voters to vote for the candidate of their choice," Campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung said in a statement.
The 4-3 court decision asserted that Trump incited insurrection by misleading supporters about election results, leading to the Capitol attack on January 6, 2021. Despite ruling to remove Trump's name from the primaries, the court granted a temporary stay until January 4, allowing the former president to seek Supreme Court review and keep his name on the ballot until a decision is made.
