Dutch caretaker Prime Minister Mark Rutte disclosed on Friday that the government is preparing to deliver eighteen F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
"The delivery of F-16s is one of the most important elements of the agreements made on military support for Ukraine," Rutte wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, following the telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
In addition, Rutte expressed optimism about Kiev's membership in the European Union and reassured the Ukrainian president that the Netherlands will "make every effort" to ensure the agreement is reached at the European Council meeting in February next year.
