The number of Turkish soldiers killed in northern Iraq as a result of an attack by Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants has increased to six, Ednews informs, citing the Turkish Ministry of Defense.
The attack took place the night before. Earlier it was reported that three Turkish soldiers were killed and four injured.
"It was not possible to save three of the four servicemen who were wounded as a result of the attack by members of a terrorist organization and the subsequent battle. The death toll has increased to six," the ministry said in a statement.
