Pope Francis condemned the killings of "unarmed civilians" in Gaza, drawing attention to the shootings that took place "within the parish complex of the Holy Family, where there are no terrorists, but families, children, people who are sick and have disabilities, sisters."
"The house of the Sisters of Mother Teresa was damaged and their generator was hit. Some say: 'This is terrorism and war'. Yes, it is war, it is terrorism," the Pope stressed while delivering a speech at Saint Peter's Square.
In his address, the Pope was referring to an incident where a mother and a daughter were killed by an alleged Israeli sniper in front of the Holy Family Latin Church in Gaza. Israel denied these claims.
