Billionaires from among the 500 richest people in the world managed in 2023 to win back losses in the amount of $1.4 trillion incurred in 2022, Ednews informs referring to Bloomberg.
In total, the capital of the 500 wealthiest billionaires on the planet increased by $1.5 trillion. Thus, they managed not only to compensate for last year’s losses, but also to earn an additional $100 billion.
According to Bloomberg, the greatest contribution to the recovery of fortunes was made by the owners of technology companies. Their capital increased by $658 billion, or 48%. Experts attribute this growth to the hype around artificial intelligence technologies.
The three richest people in the world, according to the Bloomberg index, are Tesla founder Elon Musk, LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
