Ukraine's Ministry of Energy announced on Tuesday in a statement that due to Russia's most recent missile attacks, 259,000 consumers in Kiev were cut off from power supplies.
In Kiev Oblast, Russia's shelling caused damage to high-voltage lines, with users in Buchanskyi and Vyshgorodskyi districts being disconnected, the ministry detailed. It further added that energy staff will start working to restore the power, as soon as it is safe enough to go out in the field.
Earlier, Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said that several explosions were recorded in the city.
