Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov warned on Friday that any gatherings organized in the memory of opposition politician Alexey Navalny that were not previously unauthorized will be considered unlawful.
"Any unauthorized gatherings will violate the law, and accordingly those who participate in them will be held accountable, again, in accordance with the current law," he said at a press conference.
Navalny's funeral is currently underway in Moscow. His team called on the supporters who cannot attend the service in the Russian capital to gather in their cities at 7:00 pm local time.
