Russian President Vladimir Putin is open to negotiations with Ukraine, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told Russian media on Sunday.
However, Peskov emphasized that any agreements reached must be approved by Ukraine's legitimate government. He pointed out that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky does not fall into this category, describing any potential agreement with him as illegitimate under Ukrainian law.
"Putin does not reject the possibility of negotiations," Peskov affirmed in an interview with state-owned VGTRK.
