"Even if science is in China, pursue it." The prophet of the whole universe, Muhammad (peace be upon him), meant women as well when he said these words. Because in another of his sayings, he emphasized that "women are your trust".
Unfortunately, these principles are not observed today in many parts of the world, especially in several Islamic countries. We are talking about the fact that the Taliban group, which is in charge of the interim government in Afghanistan, has deprived women and girls of the right to study at universities.
It should be recalled that at one time the Taliban was one of the forces supported by Turkiye and Pakistan in connection with the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan. Although it was hoped that many loopholes would be eliminated with its coming to power, this did not come true.
Regarding the problem, Pakistani journalist and political analyst Agha Iqrar Haroon told Ednews that although the Taliban seemed right at first, its principles were greatly distorted.
"It is true that the concept in the religion of Islam fully supports the rights to get education for both men and women. However, what happens in Afghanistan regarding to the interim government of Taliban, it is unfortunately bringing new rules to the Islam. Banning women from to access the education at universities is unacceptable."
As regards changing this attitude the expert said Taliban has suspended all its relation with countries, including Pakistan.
"Taliban's political structure has been complicated. On the one hand its relations with ISIS and suspicious terror groups, on the other hand Taliban's aggressive political views have destroyed all bridges between Pakistan and other supporting countries."
Agha Iqrar Harron also mentioned support from Pakistan and Turkiye which once used to support Taliban's coming in power.
"Pakistan and Turkiye keep supporting Afghanistan with medical and other aids. We understand the situation how people are suffering from famine and especially drinkable water. Besides that, Pakistan has raised this issue before the US government in terms of supporting the Afghani people.
Unfortunately Taliban tries to escape all negotiations and worst situation is that Taliban is supporting and cooperating with terror groups in the country instead of cleaning the country from those elements."
