It has not been officially announced that the tripartite alliance will be against China. However, Washington has formed various alliances around China in recent years, and political experts believe that the US-Japan-Philippines trio will be one of them. During his visit to the Philippines on March 19, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken conducted the main discussion around China's policy.
The political scientist said that the tension between the Philippines and China is related to the approach of warships in the seas: "The Philippine military called on China last year to stop "unsafe actions" in the South China Sea.
